West Fargo Public Library has first-come, first-serve seating and tables on the library's upper floor within the Adult Fiction and Adult Nonfiction collections. There are power cords available, but headphones must be used if listening to music or videos. There is also a first-come, first-serve study nook across the hall from Meeting Room 1 on the library's upper floor within the Activity Hallway. The space has tables, chairs, plug-ins for charging, and temporary partitions for privacy.
The West Fargo Public Library also has a study room that can be reserved through our Meeting Room Reservation Form and can be used on a walk-in, first-come, first-serve basis. The study room has chairs, tables, a small whiteboard, and an external monitor with HDMI cable. The maximum capacity of the room is 5 people. Those using the study room must follow the Meeting Room Policy.

The West Fargo Public Library has two meeting rooms available for public reservation during library business hours. Members of the public can reserve a room in advance by filling out a Meeting Room Application Form. Meeting rooms are available at no charge for educational, cultural, or charitable activities.
The library's meeting rooms measure approximately 30 feet by 15 feet and will hold up to 30 individuals. Furnishings vary, but they may be furnished with tables, chairs and projection equipment.
The meeting rooms must be reserved in advance. Please read our Meeting Room Policy (PDF) to ensure your group is eligible to reserve a meeting room.
Ready to reserve a room? Fill out our Meeting Room Application Form or visit the service desk at the library for a paper application.
Filling out an application does not mean the room reservation is complete. A member of library staff will reach out to applicants to approve or deny the reservation, discuss next steps and any applicable fees.

The majority of programs and events hosted by the West Fargo Public Library are open to the public. However, some events may require registration due to limited space or materials. Our Event Registrations page shows a list of all events that are currently accepting registrations.

The Library provides both in-person and remote reference services. In-person assistance is available at the library, while remote help is accessible through an online form which staff will respond to as soon as they are able.
In-Person Reference Services
You can get in-person help navigating the library resources and databases or get help choosing what to read next by scheduling a 30-minute appointment in advance or taking advantage of first-come, first-serve openings at the library. Our librarians are here to guide you through exploring various topics, including starting with family history or genealogy research. Furthermore, we provide personalized reader's advisory to help you discover new genres and reading options.
In-Person Technology Tutoring
You can also get in-person help with basic technology questions by scheduling a 30-minute appointment with one of our technology tutors. Our technology tutors are available to assist with topics such as basic computer, tablet, eReader, or smartphone skills; basic internet and browser skills; setting up email or social media accounts; learning how to use apps and websites; and streaming and downloading digital media like ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines.
Online Reference Services
If you are unable to visit the library during Reference Services hours, you can get help online. Reference Services for general inquiries and Reader's Advisory for exploring genres and reading preferences. For remote help, you can submit your inquiries through online forms that will be available on our website soon.

Yes. Staff are happy to advise you on what to read next based on your personal preferences and what you have read in the past. In the library world, we call this "reader's advisory." You can get help with reader's advisory at the service desk if staff are available or fill out our online form (coming soon), and staff will get back to you as soon as they are able.
