Sanitation & Recycling

Our city currently has 20 sanitation workers running seven sanitation trucks five days a week to keep the City of West Fargo clean. Sanitation Manager, Logan Jacobson, and his crew are committed to providing convenient and affordable residential and commercial solid waste services to the citizens of West Fargo.

Sanitation & Recycling

Residential garbage curbside pick-up costs $17.50 a month. To ensure your garbage and recycling is picked up on your designated day, please have your receptacles out by 7 a.m. on your collection day.

For a calendar of holiday schedule changes and the weekly recycling rotation, please view the 2023 Garbage and Recycling Collection changes.

Sanitation Zones Map for Collection Day

To determine your weekly collection day, find your location in 2023 Sanitation and Recycling Daily Collection Zones. The day of the week your address appears in is your collection day. The color your address appears in, green or gold, determines the weeks your recycling will also be collected based on the adjacent recycling schedule.
