The West Fargo Public Library is hosting its first “Encore Art Exhibit” this fall, a series of select showings previously on display in other metro venues. The inaugural exhibit is called Focus on the Process: The Art, History, and Science of Photographic Printing by Dr. Ken Andersen of West Fargo. This exhibit, previously shown at the Hjemkomst Center, focuses on several different historical printmaking methods dating from the 1800s to the 1990s, including photogravure, salted paper, silver gelatins, and more. In addition to viewing examples of photographs processed using these different techniques, visitors will learn about the processes themselves. The exhibit will be on view in the library September 20 - December 18.
Join us on Saturday, November 10, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., for a “meet and greet” with Dr. Andersen and a chance to try your hand at photo processing with the Inspire Innovation Lab.
This exhibit and event are funded by The Arts Partnership, with support from the Cities of Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo.
